Hendrik Conrad Venter to DNA Project Participants.
Hendrik Conrad (von Dempter) Venter is the progenitor of most,
if not all, of the Venters in South Africa. He arrived
in South Africa, from Germany, in 1683, after which he changed
his name from von Dempter to Venter. Today he has literally
thousands of descendants.
Hendrik Conrad's decendants have been traced down through as many as
eleven generations (in some cases) to the present day. His line of male
decendants, down to our project participants, is shown here:
