Note*   At the birth of Bernhard's first Child, Julius Christian, the record indicated that the parents of the mother were witnesses.

These witnesses were listed as Jacob and Catharina Oster; I considered this information as erroneous at first since the only marriage record found so far shows Johann Bernhard Cöster marrying Maria Elisabetha Eckhard.

However, because there is no other explanation, I am now convinced that Maria Elisabetha Oster is the mother of all of Bernhard's children.

Maria's marriage record to Johann Bernhard Cöster indicates that she is from the town of Dielkirchen (spelled Dillkirchen in the record) which is located just north of Rochenhausen, to the east of Odenbach.

Marriage* before 1869  Heinrich's marriage record to Philippina Venter has not been found. However, the record of the birth of their son, Johannes Feikert was found recorded on 15 May 1869 and lists the parents as Heinrich Feikert, age 41, and Philippina Venter, age 37. Philippina Venter had a son, Jacob, with Jacob Bender in Apr 1859, so her marriage to Heinrich Feikert is assumed to be after that time., Principal=Philippina Venter
