Note*   There is a number of baptism records for Schwenk children recorded at the Meisenheim Lutheran Church (film #193975). However, Anna Margaretha has yet to be found.

There is a marriage record of a Henrich Schwenk of Wöllstein to Susanna Maria Fettig of Odenbach (Odenbach: 14 Jan 1741). The family records of Anna Margaretha Schwenk could possibly be found in Wöllstein and it is worth a look. A copy of this marriage record can be found in the files.

Note*   Dorothea is named as the mother of Johanna Margaretha Dorothea Harra, her illegitimate daughter, in the record of Johanna's birth. In that record Dorothea's occupation is indicated as "Maidservant".

No other information on Dorothea has been found as yet. However the birth records of Friedrich Seim (6 Mar 1754), Johann Christoff Seim (3 Feb 1757), and Johann Heinrich Seim (9 Sep 1760) were found and who could be her brothers, born to Johann Ehrhard Seim and Maria Elisabetha nee Gostasnau(?).

Name Variation   Saim, I was recording Dorothea's surname as Saim originally and there is a good chance the spelling of Dorothea's surname is actually Saim instead of Seim. In the notes I made from the original Untersiemau records I record the name both ways (see page 39 of my notes). However, in the German Telephone directroy, there are many entries under the name of Seim, but only a few under Saim, and those all appear to be of ethnically non-germans. I was looking at these records in Untersiemau very early in my research (May, 1990) and it is very possible I mis-read the "e" in Seim as an "a", or vis-versa. I am currently using the "Seim" spelling based only on the results of what I have found in the German Telephone directory.
