Note*   The record of marriage of Anna Catharina Venter to Johann Adam Matern (Meisenheim, 22 Nov 1729) indicates that her father is Philipp Venter of "Road" (Roth). Likewise, the record of marriage of Susanna Elisabetha Venter to Johann Carl Leppla (Gangloff, 16 May 1741) indicates that her father is Johann Philipp Venter of Roth. It is assumed that these women are sisters, both being daughters of the same Philipp Venter of Roth. Further evidence is needed to make this assumption conclusive.

A piece of substantiating evidence is found in the Baptism record of Susanna Elisabetha Mattern, daughter of Anna Catharina. One witness of that baptism was a Susanna Elisabetha, daughter of Philipp Venter of Roth. Could this be Anna Catharina's sister?

Then there is a third marriage record, that of Johann Peter Venter, which indicates the grooms father is Philipp Venter of Roth, and he is being included here as well. 
Birth* circa 1684  Based on the dates that Philipp's daughters were married, it is a good guess that Philipp was born between 1670 and 1685. His burial record (Gangloff: 30 Dec 1764), gives his age as 80 yrs. placing his date of birth sometime during the year prior to December 1684.
