     Johann Henrich Steeb married Maria Charlotta Cöster, daughter of Julius Christian Cöster and Anna Margretha (?), on 21 December 1773; Maria Charlotta's marriage to Johann Steeb is noted in "Die Kasualien Der Reformierten Pfarrei Odenbach am Glan 1716 - 1798), by Günter F. Anthes. This document is on microfilm at the Center Archive of the Evangelistic Church of the Palatinate in Speyer. The actual marriage record has not yet been located.

     Maria Margaretha Steeb was born on 28 September 1727 at Callbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany; Birth was recorded in the Meisenheim Reformed Church Baptism Register; Page: 206; Date: 28 Sep 1727; Child's Name: Maria Margaretha; Father: Peter Steeb of Callbach; Mother: Anna Maria Paulus.

However, Maria Margaretha's death record (25 Jan 1775) gives her age as 40 years, which would place her birth date sometime in 1734 or January 1735. Her death record is assumed to be in error. She married Johann Philipp Heyel, son of Johann Andreas Heyel and Anna Margaretha Anthes, on 15 April 1751 at Odenbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany; Marriage was recorded in the Reform Church Registry at Odenbach; No. 2; Date: 15 Apr 1751; Groom: Philipp Heyel (Father: Andreas Heyel); Bride: Maria Margretha (Father: Peter Steeb of Callbach). Maria Margaretha Steeb died on 25 January 1775 at Odenbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, at age 47; Death was recorded Odenbach Reformed Church Burial Registry; Date: 25 Jan 1775; Name: Maria Margaretha; Age: 40; Husband: Philipp Heyel.
     Maria Margretha's information was not completely legible in the record of her marriage to Johann Philip Heyel. The spelling of his last name appeared to be 'SEBEN'. However, other sources indicate that this name is probably "Steeb", which is a common name in the area; whereas SEBEN is not.

In addition, the name of his home town was given and it was something like -Exxxbach. The only town in the area that is close in spelling to that is Erdesbach, located just north of Altenglan, about 23 km south-west of Odenbach. Another
possibility may be Eisenbach, another 10 km south of Erdesbach.

Further studying of the town's name reveals that it is most likely Callbach!
